Welcome to Sublette CountySublette County Wyoming is located in the western part of the state and covers approximately 3.2 million acres, 80 percent of which are public land. Incorporated towns include Big Piney, Marbleton and Pinedale being the county seat. Other communities include Bondurant, Boulder, Cora and Daniel. The Wind River Range, Bridger-Teton Wilderness, Wyoming Range and Bridger-Teton National Forest are in close proximity. The Continental Divide spans over 140 miles along the entire spine of Wyoming’s Wind River Range, which is the largest mountain range in the state. The Wind Rivers boast 19 of Wyoming’s 20 highest peaks, over 180 active glaciers (including the largest glaciers in the Rockies), and over 3,000 pristine alpine lakes within its half-million acres of Federally-designated Wilderness. Pinedale is Wyoming’s first Continental Divide Trail Gateway Community. With over 1,300 lakes throughout the County, water sports are also popular. Locals and visitors alike enjoy lake fishing, kayaking, boating, water skiing, wake boarding and sailing, to name a few. Most lakes offer campsites nearby. Winter in Sublette County offers just as many reasons to get off that couch and head outside! Pinedale is the home of White Pine Ski Resort, a family-oriented down hill ski area. For the more experienced, Sublette County backcountry offers enough terrain to keep any level skier or snowboarder busy for seasons to come. We are on the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail which provides us with world class snowmobiling. Miles of groomed cross country ski trails await! Ice fishing is popular for all ages.
